Google Chrome will allow users to block sounds from websites permanently. However, this option currently available only for Google Chrome dev branch called as Google Canary.

Francois Beaufort,Google Chrome team member, announced the news on Friday through a post on his Google Plus. He wrote his team members are still testing a setting to mute / unmute a website directly from the page info “ⓘ” button.

Actually muting audio on website is nothing new. You can mute tabs in Google chrome by right clicking on them, but the process will be cancelled out once you close the particular tab on chrome. You will be able to mute websites on permanent with just few clicks once this feature makes it way from Canary to the Stable version of chrome.
