Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has announced a new special edition of Mi A1 in stunning red color variant in Indonesia. Although,Chinese smartphone maker has not shared any details whether it plans to bring it into other Asian countries as well. Special edition Mi A1 carries a price tag of 3,099,000 IDR which is equivalent to $215.
Xiaomi released Mi A1 smartphone with the collaboration of Google in September. The company already released rebranded version of Mi A1 as Mi 5X smartphone which is available only in china and the company had recently released launched red variant of Mi 5X in China.
Aside from the new color,the variant is same as the regular Mi A1,which means there is no change in specs. The Chinese manufacturer added the front display panel with black bezels around.
The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD LCD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with aspect ration of 16:9. The smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. And display of Mi A1 also covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and pixel density of 401 ppi.
The Mi A1 features dual 12MP rear cameras with one 26mm standard lens and secondary telephoto lens with focal length of 50mm. Xiaomi has also packed a 5MP selfie shooter with 1080p video recording support
The Mi A1 was launched with Android 7.1.2 Nougat but has started receving Android 8.0 Oreo update via beta channel.
